DJ QBALL

CORE DJPRODUCERENGINEERRADIO PERSONALITYCRSMG RADIO

Before playlists became algorithms, QBall learned the job the old way: watch the room, touch the records, feel the temperature change. From Chicago’s West Side to Crucial Conflict’s national run, from movie sets to broadcast radio, he built a career around one instinct — know what the people need before they ask for it.

“The DJ was never background. He was the switchboard.”

One tap. No scavenger hunt.

Bookings, broadcasts, social channels and the current catalog — the working doors sit up front, where a Face Card is supposed to put them.

When QBall goes live, the control room opens here.

No redirect and no second tab. When @iamdjqball is on air, the live Twitch broadcast plays directly inside his Face Card. When the stream ends, this player becomes the channel door until the next session.

Something to vibe to while you scroll.

From the latest records to the deeper catalog, QBall’s Spotify lives inside the Face Card so the music can keep moving without sending the listener somewhere else first.

WEST SIDE ORIGIN · THE AIR BEFORE THE DROP

He learned the room before he learned the industry.

QBall’s story starts on Chicago’s West Side, where neighborhood parties and DJs made music feel less like entertainment and more like public electricity. His own submitted biography places him behind the turntables at Hot Wheels skating rink while he was still in his early teens. That matters because the craft came first: reading faces, timing transitions and understanding that a DJ can change the energy of a room without saying a word.

Decades later, the same instinct sits underneath everything else — production, engineering, radio, artist development and the kind of independent-artist advocacy that only makes sense when you have spent years standing between a record and the crowd.

A career with paper behind it.

Not every claim needs a dramatic caption. Some just need a date, a publication and enough history to show the work has been there.

The conversation is part of the catalog.

A Face Card should show the work happening now, not only the history behind it. QBall’s YouTube lane puts him on the mic as host, curator and culture connector — bringing artists into the room and letting the exchange become the content.

Press play on QBall’s world.

Conversations With QBall gives the Face Card a present-tense window into the platform he is building around music and independent voices. This Freestyle Edition features Easy O’Hare and lets the chemistry do the talking.

The point is bigger than another video link. The episode lives here on FOUNTAIN+ so visitors can watch without leaving QBall’s story — then move straight into CRSMG Radio, his current releases, press and official channels.

SCREEN CREDITS

THE CULTURE MOVED ON CAMERA.

The resume also stepped off the turntables. QBall’s public Spotify biography lists an appearance in Hoop Dreams. Then came Belly, Hype Williams’ 1998 cult classic. QBall later told Fake Shore Drive that Crucial Conflict auditioned, got the call, and landed in the film as Chicago voices crossing into a New York-centered hip-hop blockbuster.

History is useful. A platform is better.

QBall did not turn his catalog into a museum. He turned the experience into infrastructure. Recent profiles identify him as founder of CRSMG Radio and CEO of CRS Management Group / CRSMG Studios, while Apple’s App Store lists the CRSMG Radio app under developer Haji McCollum with a simple promise: independent and major artists from around the world, all music, all the time.

That is the bridge in his story. The same person who remembers when DJs had to teach a room how to move to “Hay” now runs a platform designed to put unfamiliar records in front of listeners. The technology changed. The job description did not.

CURRENT RELEASE · JULY 10, 2026

Still in the mix. Literally.

The current chapter is not nostalgia. In July 2026, DJ QBALL and Alyze Chicago released “Bump and Run (Remix),” with JJ GONAMI appearing on the track. It lands as a clean reminder that QBall’s lane can stretch from 1990s Chicago rap history into a modern house-minded record without asking permission from the calendar.
